Our humble beginnings ...
If you take a very close look off the southwestern coast of Alaska in the Aleutian Islands, you will find Unalaska (Dutch Harbor). Located 800 miles from the nearest mainland city (Anchorage), telephone services are naturally very expensive.
Out of this unique environment, Iterus was created to provide more affordable telecommunication services to the tiny community we call home. We received such a positive response from our community that we have decided to share with the rest of the world -- one community at a time.
Is the city really named 'Unalaska'?
Yes. The name Unalaska is Unangan (Aleutian), which are the Alaskan natives. Unalaska is commonly referred to as Dutch Harbor.
What does 'iterus' mean?
Pronounced ("i-t&-r&s or it-er-us"). Iter- in latin means 'the passage or the way'. Iterus means 'the way through us'.
